    ·   Created an easy-to-use resource for members and interested applicants to see what REAM is involved in, affiliated attendings, and consolidated resources for member-access.

  • ·   Share resources and opportunities with junior medical students interested in pursuing orthopaedics

    ·   Put together virtual events of female orthopaedic surgeons speaking of their journey, Dr. McKie and Dr. Olmedo

    ·   Planning In-person bootcamp event for orthopaedic rotation preparation and early exposure for medical students in the northeast Louisiana area

  • ·   Communicate with AWS affiliate programs that provide inter-organization and international collaboration

    ·   Evaluated applications for Grant programs (e.g. DEI scholarship, visiting professorship)

  • ·   Write and promote policy changes under AMA that support medical students with disabilities throughout their medical career in the setting of graduate medical education

    ·   Co-authored: Resolution 40: Provision of Continuation of Health Insurance Benefits for Medical Students Taking a Leave of Absence

  • ·   Liaison between ACOS-MSS national matter and our local chapter, remaining in good standing with national ACOS-MSS requirements, and attend national conferences, authored VCOM-LA chapter constitution

     

  • ·   Honored the lives who donated themselves to the cadaver program at the end of our class’s year-long anatomy course

    ·   Developed a budget, communicated with vendors, produced program, and made decorations

  • ·   Participated in interview days, recruitment events, and workshop events for pre-medical students/ prospective applicants

    ·   Spoke on panels at orientation, community open houses, and alumni events regarding my journey through medicine

  • ·   Served as a liaison between the Department of Medical Education and the Student Body regarding curriculum, scheduling, and faculty relations and as a peer representative at Promotion Board, Course Director Meetings
